Paxtyn Bailey, the Traveler, speaks to us from the Red Chair.
“One of my favorite experiences so far with IUK is that we had a KEY trip to Bloomington and we took that time as a group, with a big group of us to go learn about different topics and experience Bloomington in that aspect of slow foods, and we got to walk through a museum and the school took time here to our bigger campus and to really get to interact and get to know one-another and really connect to a different campus and making us feel like we’re much more than just this small campus here in Kokomo. It was really cool to get to see and connect with the others and connect to the local businesses down in Bloomington to see how what we do matters, and it will matter in the future.”
She continues, “learning how to put food on the table and to really care about what we put into our bodies and into our environment it all matters, and IUK gave us that opportunity to be able to go as a group and really got to thrive in that environment, and I really enjoyed it a lot that really has impacted me, and changed me just from that one trip.”
Paxtyn says “the next trips we have coming up I’m so excited for, and IUK is the reason I’m able to go and travel while still going to school and I’m so excited for it honestly.”
