KOKOMO, Ind. — Approximately 100 pieces of artwork will be available to purchase in the Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery’s 100 for 100 Exhibition, opening Tuesday, September 25.
The works, donated by students, faculty, staff, and Gallery supporters, will be available for $100 each, according to Tara Scott, Gallery director.
“We are going to have a variety of artwork available to help us raise money to transform the Gallery entrance, making it a more visually appealing place to showcase art,” said Scott.
The exhibition, which includes paintings, photography, sculptures, multimedia, fabric art, and others, opens with a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Gallery, in the IU Kokomo Library building, 2300 S. Washington St.
Scott noted she is grateful to all the donors who contributed to the show. While many were donated by the artist who created the work, others selected from their personal collections.
All works will be sold in person, with payment by check or cash. For more information contact Scott at gallery2@iuk.edu or 765-455-9523. The exhibition continues through Friday, October 19.
The Gallery is free and open to the public, with free parking on campus. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays; noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays; and closed Sundays and Fridays.
