KOKOMO, Ind. — Invest in student success, by attending the 2018 Indiana University Kokomo Alumni Hall of Fame and Scholarship Gala Masquerade Ball.
Set for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Bel Air Events, the gala includes delicious dining, dancing to the music of the band Toy Factory, and recognition of the 2018 Chancellor’s Medallion and Alumni Hall of Fame recipients.
“Attending our Gala is not only an evening of fun, it’s also an investment in our students, who are the future leaders of our region,” said Jan Halperin, vice chancellor for university advancement. “We look forward to seeing you in your best at the Masquerade Ball, dancing to live music, dining and celebrating!”
Paul Wyman and Dr. Charles and Alice Simons will receive the Chancellor’s Medallion, the highest honor Chancellor Susan Sciame-Giesecke can bestow, honoring the many ways they have supported and contributed to the life and success of IU Kokomo, of Howard County and of the Kokomo community.
Inductees into the IU Kokomo Alumni Hall of Fame include Greg Aaron, A.G.S. ’90; Elizabeth Douglass, B.S. ’95; Shane Simmons, A.S. ’12, B.S. ’13; Kylie Groover, A.G.S. ’11, B.S. ’13; and John Smith, B.S. ’99.
Tickets are $100 per person, with proceeds benefitting the IU Kokomo Gala Scholarship and the Kokomo Region Alumni Scholarship. Dress is black tie optional, and cocktail or formal dress for women, with masks optional for all. Sponsorship opportunities also are available.
