KOKOMO, Ind. — The Indiana University Kokomo Golf Outing is more than a great day of golf.
It’s an opportunity to provide higher education to students in north central Indiana.
Foursomes and hole sponsorships are still available for the annual outing, set for Wednesday, September 16.
Jan Halperin, vice chancellor for university advancement, said the event will be played on the Wildcat Creek Golf Course, 3200 Timber Valley Drive, which is the home course for the new men’s and women’s golf teams.
“We are grateful for the support provided by the many businesses and individuals in our region, who play not only for the love of the game, but to benefit IU Kokomo,” she said.
Part of the campus’s 70th anniversary celebration, the event begins with registration and lunch at noon, followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Participants may also compete in a $10,000 hole-in-one challenge, and a beat the golf team member challenge contest.
A foursome with hole sponsorship is $600. Foursomes are available for $500, and hole sponsorship is $175. Proceeds benefit campus programs.
Deadline to register is Wednesday, August 26, and spots are limited. Register online at iuk.edu/golfouting.
