KOKOMO, Ind. — Indiana University Kokomo and Ivy Tech Community College will team up to host the annual Kokomo Area Spring Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the Kokomo Event & Conference Center.
Tracy Springer, IU Kokomo's director of career services, said the job fair provides an opportunity for graduating students to seek out many job opportunities in north central Indiana.
"It is important that we partner with companies and corporations in our region, and give them an opportunity to employ our students, who are earning world-class degrees," she said. "Our Career Services department works hard to provide our students and graduates as many employment options as we can."
IU Kokomo and Ivy Tech students and alumni may attend one hour prior to the fair opening to the general public. The job fair is free and open to the public, and is a great way for those graduating soon and other job seekers to connect with employers. More than 40 employers have registered, and more are expected.
Employers attending include American Red Cross of Central Indiana, Bona Vista Programs, Chrysler Group LLC, Edward Jones, Guardian Angel Hospice, IU Kokomo Admissions Office, Howard Regional Health System, Key Bank, Kokomo Police Department and Logansport Memorial Hospital.
