Monday, April 16

IU Kokomo Introduction to Drama plays, 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Alumni Hall. Students will teach three one-act plays that focus on significant relationship issues, to support the campus Angel Walk activities, and to encourage dialogue about these issues. Free.

 

Tuesday, April 17

Not on our Campus, Not in Our Community Angel Walk, 5:30 p.m rally., 6 p.m. walk, IU Kokomo. The event is a fundraising walk for the Family Service Association of Howard County’s domestic violence shelter. To form or join a team, contact Tracy Martino at 765-457-9313 or martinet@fsahc.org.

 

Wednesday, April 18

IU Kokomo Visit in Person (VIP) Day, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Kelley Student Center and Alumni Hall. High school juniors and seniors are invited to learn about the admissions process and opportunities available at IU Kokomo. RSVP at iuk.edu/vip. Free.

Perspectives on Women’s Self-Compassion, Body Pride, and Health Behaviors, noon to 4 p.m., IU Kokomo Observatory. Learn results of an IU Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council-funded study of women’s perceptions of self-compassion and body pride, and how these emotions influence health behaviors. Debate: Is sharing your personal data really that harmful? 6 to 8 p.m., IU Kokomo Hunt Hall Room 116. Students from the argumentation and debate class will debate the pros and cons of collection and sharing of personal data by social media organizations and other groups. Free.
