KOKOMO, Ind. — Come get in the holiday spirit at the Indiana University Kokomo Crescendos and Diminuendos annual Christmas concert.

Ian Denson, assistant director, said the concerts are a great way for families to begin the holidays.

“Christmas performances not only welcome this season, but they share and encourage participation in the arts,” he said. “This concert offers the fun of the holidays in the first act, and somber reflection on its meaning in the second act.”

The musical groups kick off the weekend with a 5 p.m. performance of selections from the show at Kokomo’s First Friday event downtown on December 5.

The free concerts are at 7 p.m. Saturday, December 6, and 2 p.m. Sunday, December 7, in IU Kokomo’s Havens Auditorium. No tickets are required, and seating is first come first served.

Finally, the Crescendos and Diminuendos will perform a short version of the show at 7 p.m. Monday, December 8, at Chapel Hill Christian Church, 2600 W. Alto Road, Kokomo.

The Crescendos and Diminuendos include nearly 60 IU Kokomo students and alumni, together with community members.
