KOKOMO, Ind. — Prepare for college admissions success, with a free program at Indiana University Kokomo.
Admissions specialists will inform parents and students how to navigate the process, with its “Parents’ Roadmap to College: Guide Your Student to Success,” program, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, in the Kelley Student Center, Room 130.
Precious Majors, admissions specialist, encouraged all parents of high school students to attend, to learn more about the application process, financial aid, academics, college life, and more.
“This program will better prepare parents and students to make an informed college decision,” he said. “We will discuss what parents can do now to help their children while they are still in high school, as well as expectations of college life.”
A panel of experts will discuss the college application process, athletic recruiting, financial aid and scholarships, career and accessibility services, choosing a major, and campus life.
The event is open to all parents of potential college students, regardless of which schools they are considering. Those who want to attend should RSVP by Friday, November 14, at iuk.edu/parent-visit
