KOKOMO, Ind. — Not all college education happens in a classroom. Students also gain leadership experience and life skills by participating in clubs and other campus organizations.
Indiana University Kokomo students can learn more about the many clubs, musical organizations, major and academic-based groups and other opportunities available at the annual Activities Fair, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, and Thursday, September 6, in Alumni Hall.
Representatives of the campus organizations will be there to answer questions, provide information and sign students up to participate. Refreshments will be available.
Kathryn Stremiecki, coordinator of programming and applied learning, encouraged students to see what opportunities are available to enhance the student life experience.
"Our clubs have caught the enthusiasm about our record enrollment," she said. "They are ready to help students find their place on campus, so they can make friends, learn new skills, and make the memories that are all part of being a college student. Activities fair is a great opportunity to check out what our campus offers, and to find a way to get involved."
Indiana University Kokomo serves north central Indiana.
