KOKOMO, Ind. – Eight faculty members from a Chinese university are visiting Indiana University Kokomo as part of the campus’ continuing effort to enhance its global presence, which includes studying abroad, and hosting international students and professors.
“I am delighted to host and welcome these delegates to our beautiful campus,” said Chancellor Michael Harris. “As IU Kokomo evolves to be a world class campus, it is vital that we build and expand on our relationships with universities around the world. We are educating students to have successful careers for the next 50 years. That will require them to have the ability to compete in a global economy.”
The delegation is from the College of Information System and Electronic Technology, Wuxi Institute of Technology, in Wuxi, Jiangshu, China. IU Kokomo organized a busy schedule during their two-day stay.
Harris acknowledges the work of Gongjun Yan, assistant professor of informatics at IU Kokomo, for making the connection that made the visit possible.
Indiana University Kokomo serves north central Indiana.
