KOKOMO, Ind. – Indiana University Kokomo Chancellor Michael Harris announces the appointment of Penny Lee, a Tipton County resident, as the new vice chancellor for advancement. Lee began her position on Monday, November 15.
"I am privileged to be part of the advancement team that will be an integral player in the efforts to transform the region through education," said Lee. "This is an exciting time to step in and provide leadership to a proactive and growing campus."
Lee's primary role will be to lead the development efforts on campus, as well as oversee alumni relations and public affairs.
"I am very pleased Penny has joined our team at IU Kokomo. She brings the energy and knowledge necessary to direct advancement and alumni relations, and help us move this campus forward," said Chancellor Michael Harris.
She most recently served as Director of Development at Tipton Hospital and manager of the Tipton Hospital Foundation. Lee earned her bachelors degree in agricultural sales and marketing, and also a master's in education from Purdue University. In addition, she received her certificate in Fund Raising Management from IU's Fund Raising School from the Center on Philanthropy.
Lee resides in rural Tipton County with her husband, Mike, and their three children.
Indiana University Kokomo serves north central Indiana.
